Shortlist on capability. Release identity when it matters.

Selmuk Hire is a hiring platform for employers in the UAE and the wider GCC. Candidates are read, structured and scored against the requirements of the role — while their name, photograph and nationality stay withheld from the employer until later in the process.

The result is a shortlist you can defend: ranked on evidence from the CV, with a record of what was visible at each stage.

Illustrative record. In stage 1 the employer sees only what bears on the role; identity fields are never sent to the browser.

How it works

Three stages, in order

Identity is released in steps rather than all at once. Each stage gives the employer more, and only after they have committed to the candidate on the evidence they already have.

  1. Stage 1

    Blind shortlist

You post the role. Candidates are matched and ranked on skills, experience, certifications and languages. Name, photograph and nationality are withheld.

  2. Stage 2

    Review and select

You work through the ranked list, mark candidates as reviewed or rejected, and shortlist the ones you want to take further. The record of what you saw is kept.

  3. Stage 3

    Identity released

For shortlisted candidates, identity details are released so you can contact them and arrange interviews. Candidates are notified when this happens.

Platform

What employers get

CV reading that produces structure

Uploaded CVs are read and turned into comparable fields — roles held, duration, certifications, languages — so candidates can be assessed against the same criteria rather than on presentation.

Ranked matches with reasons

Each candidate carries a fit score against the specific role, and the evidence behind it. The score informs your decision; it does not make it.

Roles that require a photograph

Some roles legitimately require appearance-related information. Where that applies, it is enabled for that role explicitly and recorded — it is an exception, not the default.

Notifications on the channels people use

Candidates are contacted by email and WhatsApp for verification codes, match updates and interview requests, in English or Arabic.

Team access and separation

Multiple users per employer with defined roles. Your jobs, candidates and shortlists are visible only to your organisation.

Candidate data stays in the GCC

CVs and profiles are stored and analysed on infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates. We run our own language models rather than sending CVs to an external AI provider — so the substance of a candidate's record never leaves the region, and never reaches a third-party AI vendor anywhere.

An auditable record

What was visible at each stage, and what was decided, is retained — so a hiring decision can be explained after the fact.

Data

How we handle candidate data

Candidates give us a CV and contact details so we can match them to work. We use automated systems, including large language models, to read CVs and score suitability against a role. Employers make the hiring decisions.

Those models run on our own hardware, inside the GCC. CVs are not sent to an external AI provider in any country. Candidate records are stored in the same environment, and identity attributes are held back from the employer until the stage at which they are released.

We do not sell personal data. We process it in line with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 and the equivalent data protection laws of the GCC states we operate in. Candidates can ask us what we hold, correct it, or ask for it to be deleted, at info@selmuk.com.

Message delivery is the one place data crosses a border: emailing or messaging a candidate means giving their address to the provider that delivers it. No CV content is included. The privacy policy sets out exactly what goes where.
